There is a video of this one being caught. Rich Lindgren vouches that it was at least 3.50lbs, so we are calling it 3 and a half.

Hellabass on Board

Probably because of the new baby Rich Lindgren of Rich's Bassin Blog doesn't seem to be getting much fishing in, so far this season. But we are counting this fish he caught on bass opener from Pelican Lake. There was no measurement, but I am officially calling it 3.25lbs

Matt Peters with a Hawg
Truth be told, last year it's very possible that Bass Pro/Fishing Guide Matt Peters of fishwithmatt.com would have won the BP Derby if he would have only given weights or lengths for some of the massive fish he caught last year. Also problematic with Matt is he is usually fishing with others and you don't know who caught what fish when there was some form of measurement to go by.
Anyway, I'm Facebook friends with Matt and he posted this picture there and actually gave a weight, so it counts. I have no doubt that Matt would be in the lead right now if he were to go out of his way to let me know the size of fish he has caught since Saturday.

6.20lbs
OOPS was discovered that Matt didn't catch this fish. Off the board it goes.
